In 2006 the Baume and Mercier line of Classima Executives retro watches was completed by two novelty models - Classima Executives L retro. The idea of developing the originally-styled timepieces was brought by the spring of creativity continuously maintained by the brand’s design studio. The Baume and Mercier watchmakers wanted to improve the design of the initial retro-styled timepieces by adding sophistication to their aesthetic and technical characteristics.

The first retro styled creations enjoyed great success and their spirit perfectly matched the essence of Baume and Mercier. The appearance of the original Classima Executives retro marked the celebration of Baume and Mercier 175th anniversary.

The Classima Executives L retro models win the hearts due to distinctive retro touch and notable contemporary charm. They are powered by a self-winding Dubois Depraz mechanical movement. The elegant design of the timepieces reveals a watchmaking complication represented by a regulator. The complication’s invention dates back to the 17th century. The function provides the most legible timekeeping as it allows the separate reading of hours, minutes and seconds indications.
