Antiquorum Fall Sale Brings 4.6 Million Dollars
Antiquorum, the international fine watch auction house, has had the most successful start of the fall season one could think of. The first sale known as the auction of Important Collectors’ Wristwatches and Pocket Watches achieved astounding 4,648,463 dollars.
Altogether 335 timepieces were offered for the auction sale, with 127 percent sold by value and 80 percent sold by lot. The auction attracted attention of bidders from numerous countries of the world who participated in different formats, including over the phone and online.
According to Julien Schaerer, Antiquorum USA Watch Directo, the results of the latest Antiquorum auction sale have proved that in spite of recent unsteady situation at stock and real estate markets, the collectors’ watch market still holds strong positions.
