Breitling Presents New Special Edition

August 23, 2009 By: WatchMaster Category: Cool watch News, Watch Series No Comments →

breitling-ravenThe Swiss-based watch manufacturer has introduced a special edition of its Skyracer and Airwolf chronographs, named Raven. The fashionably black color scheme of the watches does not raise doubts about where the name came from. Other identifying features of these Breitling timepieces are peculiar bezel and push pieces which are rubber-molded. What the New Breitling Raven watches do not have in common is their movements - the Breitling Airwolf Raven is powered by an electronic movement, and the Breitling Skyracer Raven by a mechanical one.
The Breitling Airwolf Raven incorporates the SuperQuartz movement which is tenfold more accurate than ordinary quartz, according to the watchmaking house. This watch has all functions that a pilot might need – an alarm, chronograph measuring time to 1/100th of a second, countdown mechanism, universal time indicator, and a second time zone. Compatible with night vision goggles, backlighting of the display makes it readable at night.
breitling-raven1The Breitling Skyracer Raven chronograph is powered by a movement which allows dual measured time view, Caliber 27.  This self-winding chronograph with 1/4 second precision includes a 60-minute counter in center of the dial to measure time periods less than an hour and a counter with 12 hours and 60 minutes combined to measure longer time periods. The movement of the Breitling Skyracer Raven chronograph has a power reserve of 48 hours and is absolutely safe at a depth up to 200 meters. The wearer of the watch can easily read the elapsed time off the bezel.
The estimated price for both Breitling models is around $3,000 - $4,000, and the price for Breitling watches reaches more than fifteen thousand dollars. If you want to buy a Breitling timepiece but are not ready to pay such a big sum, try purchasing a replica Breitling watch. Replica Breitling timepieces look exactly the same as the originals but cost considerably less.

Special Quai de l’Ile Watch for the Only Watch Charity Auction

August 01, 2009 By: WatchMaster Category: Cool watch News, Watch Series No Comments →

vacheron-constantin-2Since the official launch of the new Quai de l’Ile collection at the 2008 Salon de la Haute Horlogerie, Vacheron Constantin for the first time presents a unique Quai de l’Ile timepiece, created exclusively for the Only Watch 2009 charity auction in Monaco. Quai de l’Ile, the brand’s historic headqurters in Geneva, symbolizes the traditional watchmaking craftsmanship and the good quality which define the brand identity.

The Quai de l’Ile watch is the first timepiece in the history of Vacheron Constantin watches, the case of which is manufactured from tantalum. This rare blue-gray metal, employed mainly in electronics and surgery, had not been used in watchmaking until the recent years. It is so hard that in order to make the case of the watch it was diamond-cut. The flanks of the timepiece are crafted from palladium, a rare silvery-white metal making part of the platinum group.

vacheron_onlywatchOne of the particular features of this special Quai de l’Ile watch is its remarkable dial. It is made of different layers with security codings created by a Swiss firm providing brand protection and anti-counterfeit services. The other decorative element of the watch is a metalized sun, a small copy of the one on the Tour de I’lle tower clock where the company was situated until 1874, when Vacheron Constantin moved to the Quai de I’lle building. Other hallmarks of the Quai de l’Ile collection, such as the Maltese cross and the bold Arabic numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9 are produced by a complicated galvanic procedure.

If you want to become owner of a Quai de l’Ile watch, but don’t want to spend so much money amid the global financial crisis, you can indulge yourself by buying a Vacheron Constantin replica watches. Vacheron Constantin replicas are reliable, indistinguishable from the original timepieces and absolutely worth their price.
