Zenith Defy Classic

Zenith Defy ClassicSometimes, defying classic tradition, it is possible to create classic things. This is exactly the case with the Zenith Defy Classic watch collection – drifting from classic standards, the company created classic timepieces in a new sense of the word. Though the Zenith Defy Classic timepieces have a graduated bezel and come with a rubber strap, they are still very elegant in a sporty way.
Creating the timepieces, the watchmakers of the company provided for the most extreme conditions under which the watch can be used. Searching for the way to improve the resistance of the Zenith Defy Classic, the top researchers of the company created a unique material, named Zenithium. This extremely resistant and superlight alloy greatly improved the properties of the watch. Thanks to this material and the anti-shock device, known under the name of “Incabloc”, the timepiece has high shock resistance. The case of the Zenith Defy Classic can also withstand very high temperatures.
The screw-down crown and case-back ensure that the watch will be water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters. This and the unidirectional rotating bezel make the Zenith Defy Classic watch suitable for use by divers.
The dial of the timepiece has an unusual layout: the seconds are not indicated by the central hand, as usually, but are displayed via the sub-dial at 9 o’clock. The date is displayed on the opposite side of the dial, at 3 o’clock.
The Zenith Defy Classic is powered by the 685 SC caliber, having a power reserve of 55 hours. The 179-component movement and its decorated central rotor and bridges can be admired through a sapphire exhibition case-back.
